Yellow Wood Divergences: Machu Picchu Entry 1
Acclimate: to adapt (someone) to a new temperature, altitude, climate, environment, or situation
We’ve been told that our bodies need time to get used to the higher elevations. Our blood/heart/lungs all need to figure out how to cope with the new condition.
I’d like to offer that this is unconditionally true but I’d like to add one more layer. Acclimate to the people. To the languages. To the views. It’s always such a pleasure to see the faces, especially of the youth. The smiles... the eyes. The views can be breathtaking or more correctly breathgiving!
Today was no exception. These images prove my point. I’m not sure how often I’ll be able to post these thoughts but I had to share these for the beginning of our journey.
Let me also share two words learned today:
Chakana-where the human meets the other worlds.
Pakarinas- origins of life.
